Peer Teaching Program

What It's About

Dancers enrolled in grades 7 through 12 may apply with Elk Grove Youth Dance, Inc. to participate in our Peer Teaching Program. Upon completion of the Peer Teaching Program, applicants are assessed by the S.N.A.P. Artistic Director(s). Those who complete the program successfully will be deemed ready to participate as a volunteer in the S.N.A.P. program.

Elk Grove Youth Dance, Inc. uses formally trained youth dancers to help reach the youth of our community. We believe that youth are inspired by and are responsive to their peers, and that the peer teachers effectively demonstrate the beauty and accessibility of dance.
